Telling Storiiies Collectively

Add your View to this collaborative Storiiies narrative
Read the following steps through, and then proceed one at a time through the activity. (click to open and close)
  1. Click the  Edit story  button [please do not edit the title card information!] 
  2. Zoom to any detail of the image you would like to annotate
  3. Click  Add new (+) 
  4. Type in your annotation in the following format [with ALL of these elements]:
    • Title [make sure to capitalize]
    • [hit return twice for a line space]
    • observation [describe what  you see]
    • interpretation [what do you think it means?]
    • [hit return once for a line break]
    • -Your Name  (if you'd like) [use a dash, and add your name as you would like it to appear]

This collective viewing activity allows you to make your mark in Storiiies, but use this forum to share any thoughts about the experience.

🪛 ✉️ Share (Creating an assignment)

You can use this lab activity as a template to create your own collective Storiiies by changing two links, one in the "View" section and the other in the "Edit" section. Follow the steps below for these two links:

  1. Go to the Module of "Hands-On Digital" to duplicate this lab activity by clicking the three dots on the right side and select duplicate. You can rename your copied lab activity.
  2. Complete the form in the Storiiies editor.
  3. Insert IIIF manifest or info.json URL of the image that you'd like to use.
  4. Type in a provisional title of your Storiiie, which should somehow make reference to your research topic and the significance of the plant.
  5. Type in your names in the Author section.
  6. Type in your email address (to receive a confirmation of creating a Storiiies).
  7. Enter a brief description of this narrative.
  8. Click "Edit story" to bring up the image and begin viewing.
  9. Click "Links" to get the View Link and the Edit Link.
  10. In the html editor, replace the View Link and the Edit Link.
